At the Association for Psychological Science (APS) conference in Chicago, Illinois, I received a Janet Taylor Spence Award which recognizes APS members who have made transformative early career contributions to psychological science. I'm incredibly grateful for this recognition.
I'm excited to be accepted into the BRAINS Fellows program, which seeks to support early-career neuroscientists from underrepresented groups. Looking forward to meeting the other fellows

Hee Jung's work was accepted for publication in Biological Psychiatry Global Open Science! Her paper, "General and Specific Factors of Environmental Stress and their Associations with Brain Structure and Dimensions of Psychopathology," presents a hierarchical model of environmental stressors and relates these factors to brain structure. My lab attended the Society of Biological Psychiatry's annual meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. Leighton and Gabby presented their posters and Hee Jung gave a talk and received her SoBP travel award! Nice to be back in person.
Gabby successfully defended her master's thesis, "Functional Network Topology in Children with ADHD Symptoms." She did an amazing job!
Leighton was awarded a Harold Stirling Vanderbilt (HSV) award, which extends her University Graduate Fellowship award for two more years. Congrats!
Gabby's application to the NSF Graduate Research Fellowships Program (GRFP) was selected for funding! Congratulations Gabby - this is a major accomplishment!
Gabby won the grand prize at Vanderbilt's Three Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition, where Ph.D. students compete in pitching their research to the general public. Congrats!
